Halloween parade SMAA style.

Halloween is taken very seriously in Southern California!

At the SMAA students and teachers wear their favourite costumes to school for a day which is a mixture of fun and lessons as usual as you will see from the fotos below.

There is a halloween parade for the younger students to a background of spooky music where they can show of their scary, strange, wild and wonderful costumes.

Here we can see part of Ms. Medinas' science lesson where students are test firing rockets they made in class. The group above are pictured around the remains of their creation after its test flight.

Last minute checks before the test flight, Mr. Rogers checks his notes...

Snow white and a ketchup bottle making last minutes changes to a rocket.

Most students and teachers dressed up for Halloween but as you can see from the foto above Mr. Kerr forgot to put his mask and costume on....

Notice the surfing stance is still there!!!

Martina tries a new way of walking....

Teachers with our favourite ex president of the United States.

Group fotos with Mr. Rogers and Ms. Whyte.

Mr O'Brien the head teacher of The S.M.A.A. makes a special appearance as Indiana Jones!

Students and teachers of The S.M.A.A. took part in the halloween party and parade on the school football field. During the days' festivities a parade was organized for all the younger children so they could show of their costumes. Check out the video. Our last day at the S.M.A.A. was a very special one and we would like to thank all the teachers for their generosity and kindness.

Around and about the school.

A selection of fotos showing members of staff and students in and around the school.

The Anaheim Ducks.

The mighty Ducks of Anaheim.

On monday evening some parents took students to see an Ice hockey game. The students were able to watch a game played between The Anaheim Ducks, the local team, and the Toronto maple leafs.
The game was marred by or made more exciting by (depending on your point of view) a series of fights which broke out between the two teams. Very theatrical with no real violence!!
The game was won by the away team.
The intervals were made more interesting by ice rink cleaners, who Giorgio found very interesting and by a flying sheep!!
